I began my career in the retail sector when my brother asked me to help out in our family’s sock business. At that point, I left retail and devoted myself to textiles and our family business in 1999.
When I joined the textile industry, I had no knowledge or experience. It was in the field that I acquired all my know-how by understanding the products, production, fibres and their qualities.
The biggest challenge I encountered on this journey was learning about the characteristics and challenges of the types of clothing we produced in our factory. Making socks and underwear are two opposite ends of the spectrum, requiring very different knowledge and techniques. All the training I acquired in the field with people and the challenges I encountered led me to expand and invest in the development of new products, designs, knits and manufacturing.
Today, UNDERTOUCH is a collective of all my experience, knowledge and resilience. We support small and digitally native brands, but also large brands.
UNDERTOUCH is my favourite world and the symbol of my resilience.
